LATERAL is a team of literary translators and editors who work collaboratively to provide translation and editing services in both English and Spanish.

    Gloria Ramos is a freelance translator. She was born in Mexico City and graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) with a bachelor’s degree in Hispanic literature and language and specialized in literary translation at the Escuela Nacional de Lenguas, Lingüística y Traducción (ENAALT). Gloria has over fifteen years of experience in professional and technical translation, particularly in scientific topics, as well as proofreading and collation. As for her literary work, she has translated both poetry and fiction for several magazines, including Página Salmón, Pérgola de Humo, Monolito, and Círculo de Poesía. She is a member of the literary translation collective Falsos Amigos.

    Adriana Terron is a writer who has worked in many aspects of the craft beer industry for the last four years. Born in the Denver suburbs in a multilingual home (English and Spanish). Graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a bachelor's in Creative Writing. 10+ years of professional experience doing transcription editing, quality assurance, and training on proper grammar. Currently lives in Arvada, Colorado with her partner, Kale, and puggle, Kubo. She enjoys reading, living frugally, making lists, and traveling.

    Nació en San Petersburgo y reside en la Ciudad de México. Estudió Literatura Dramática y Teatro en la UNAM y el Diplomado en Formación de Traductores Literarios en la ENALLT. Sus obras dramáticas se han presentado en el Centro de Arte Dramático A.C., en el Centro Cultural El Foco y en el Foro Marlowe. Asimismo, ha colaborado con crónicas, entrevistas, reseñas, críticas teatrales y ensayos sobre el lenguaje en La Hoja de Arena, la Revista Tierra Adentro, Letras Libres y el Centro de Cultura Digital. Ha publicado traducciones de Nika Turbiná y de Anton Chéjov en la revista La Peste. A Viera le interesa, sobre todo, la traducción de poesía, textos dramáticos y cómic. También es ilustradora y escribe cómics.
